I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and have trained extensively in both private practice and community mental health settings, including Access Institute, BAART, and CIIS' Psychological Services Center. My instruction has focused on treatment modalities that address the whole well-being of the patient, including internal emotional life and thought processes, mind-body connection, and relationships with others. I received my masters in literary and cultural theory and have attended trainings in dismantling systems of oppression such as racism, misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia. This background allows me to collaborate with my patients in thinking about and addressing the systemic institutional factors that may be leading to their difficulties. My approach is subtly influenced by Vipassana meditation. In addition to psychotherapy, I supervise pre-doctoral and post-doctoral trainees in both community mental health and private practice settings.
